Sickness complaints from holidaymakers staying at the SunConnect Sunrise Diamond Resort in Egypt
We have been instructed to represent holidaymakers who have recently stayed at the SunConnect Sunrise Diamond Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt and suffered sickness on holiday.
SunConnect Sunrise Diamond Resort in Egpyt
The hotel is promoted by UK tour operator Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook rate the resort as 4 star and advertise the property as “Nestled on a clifftop, the SunConnect Sunrise Diamond Resort offers stunning views and plenty of space to relax in the Sharm el Sheikh sunshine. Guests here have access to 3 swimming pools, 2 heated in winter and one adults-only, as well as 4 restaurants and 7 bars.”
However, we have been receiving reports of:
- Poor hygiene standards at the hotel
- Undercooked food
- Large numbers of guests suffering from sickness on holiday
- Multiple trips to the local pharmacy
Further research on website TripAdvisor indicates that our clients are not the only ones to experience sickness on holiday. One reviewed reports “After day 2 I went down with “deli belly”…expected it but not for the rest of the holiday, the hygiene in the restaurants was appalling, waiters just flicking food off the table mats, no cleaning of tables no table spray in sight.”
These hygiene failures abroad can result in the growth of bacteria and cause infections such as Salmonella, E-Coli, Campylobacter and many more.
These are all types of illnesses that are reported to us and that we handle daily. They can have lasting effects on an individual’s health. We would therefore urge anyone who has been affected by illness during their holiday to seek medical attention.
