Holiday Illness Compensation Claims Paphos – Cyprus – RIU Cypria Resort
Simpson Millar Solicitors are investigating claims by British holiday-makers who have experienced a debilitating gastric illness bug at the RIU Cypria in Paphos, Cyprus, and are looking to make compensation claims against their tour operators.
Holidaymakers, including wedding parties, are reporting suffering from diarrhoea, stomach cramps and vomiting, symptoms often associated with Food Poisoning. If it transpires that this outbreak of illness is due to failures by the RIU Cypria Resort management to maintain hygiene, holidaymakers are entitled to claim compensation.
Simon Lomax, Simpson Millar’s Holiday Illness Compensation Claims Manager says:
“We have reading complaints about poor hygiene practices in the hotel restaurants – filthy floors, stained table clothes, barely edible food etc. Illness appears rife at the hotel in May 2011 with some guests reporting 35 out of 37 members of their party being ill.”
“Holidaymakers are advised to seek medical treatment from their GP upon their return to the UK. Stool samples analysis may reveal the presence of a bacterial pathogen such as Salmonella – E. Coli – Campylobacter or a waterborne parasite, such as Cryptosporidium.”
It is our intention to seek compensation for those holiday-makers who experience sickness due to unacceptable hygiene standards or Food Poisoning in Paphos, Cyprus. British holiday-makers should not be subjected to poor hygiene standards whilst on package holiday with a UK tour operator such as TUI, Olympic or First Choice Holidays.
Anyone who has been affected by Shigella – E. Coli – Campylobacter – Salmonella in Cyprus or any other debilitating holiday bug at the RIU Cypria Resort in Paphos can obtain free advice on free phone 0808 129 3347 or by email”
