Have you Suffered Illness at Xperience St. George Homestay?
Holiday Solicitors, Simpson Millar LLP, have been reading reports about holidaymakers who have suffered severe bouts of illness whilst staying at the Xperience St. George Homestay Resort.
A large proportion of these clients have been struck down with profuse diarrhoea, severe stomach cramps, headaches, nausea and fever, symptoms often attributed to bacterial infections such as Salmonella.
Simpson Millar’s Holiday Illness Team are asking travellers:
- Have you suffered illness at the Xperience St George Homestay?
- Were you infected by Giardia Lamblia or Salmonella in Egypt?
- Are you looking to Claim compensation for your St. George Homestay Illness?
Simon Lomax, Simpson Millar’s Holiday Illness Claims Manager says:
“Our investigations are underway and if it is discovered that holidaymakers suffered gastric illness through poor hygiene or negligence, and/or bacterial or parasitic infection at the St Georges Homestay, they can expect to receive substantial compensation.”
“Holidaymakers describe how some guests have been hospitalised and treated with IV drips to ensure they remain hydrated – a sign of a serious bout of gastric holiday illness. The observations made by holidaymakers would suggest the finger of blame is pointing at the food and the swimming pools at the Xperience St George Homestay!”
“For example, Giardia Lamblia and Cryptosporidium are common causes of swimming pool water illness and they are spread inadvertently by ingesting small amounts of contaminated water. They can also be picked up by consuming food that has been contaminated by the stool of a person infected with either parasite.”
Simon continues to say:
“We are looking into the possibility that infected food handlers at the Xperience St. Georges Homestay have returned to work too early following infection and have spread the illness causing the hotel’s guests to suffer Food Poisoning.”
If you suffer illness whilst staying at the Xperience St. Georges, it may not only spoil your holiday, but it could leave you with continuing health problems. Travellers are advised to seek immediate medical attention from their GP as they may require antibiotics to rid their digestive system of illnesses such as giardiasis or cryptosporidiosis.
Holidaymakers looking to claim compensation are invited to contact Simpson Millar and join our clients pursing holiday illness claims against First Choice Holidays, TUI Holidays and Thomas Cook (amongst others) for their disastrous stay in Egypt.
