“Paul’s arrival is fantastic for the Department. His knowledge of tour operating law, systems, procedures and protocols is immense and invaluable.”
“I myself have faced Paul as an adversary on many occasions and can say that I have not come across anyone more skilled and robust yet.”
“I have always maintained that as the Division grows our goal is to ensure that we bring in the highest calibre of people – in Paul we certainly have continued to achieve this.”
Asked about his decision to join Simpson Millar Paul said:
“I chose Simpson Millar because I recognised the strength the firm already had in people that had previously worked in the travel industry – they understand tour operating.”
“From a Defendant’s point of view Simpson Millar is perceived as a dynamic firm who know what they are doing – so choosing Simpson Millar was a relatively easy decision for me to make.”
Paul’s first challenge will be take conduct of a claim involving more than 100 holidaymakers struck by illness at a hotel in Egypt this summer with illnesses ranging from salmonella to shigella, e-coli, cryptosporidium and campylobacter.
Speaking about future plans Nick Harris expects to recruit again.
“I anticipated that the number of new instructions would begin to tail off but this has not happened and with the winter holiday season approaching I am conscious that we can expect even more new work into the Department.”
