Claimant wins £1,730 after Horrific Sickness at Red Sea Holiday Village
Simpson Millar Solicitors, based in Stretford, have won another key Holiday Illness Claims case ensuring compensation for a victim of holiday food poisoning.
The holidaymaker suffered extreme sickness while staying at a resort abroad and brought their case to Simpson Millar’s Stretford office where details of the case can be inspection upon application.
Mr W Hawkins of The Wirral was struck down with illness while residing at The Red Sea – a holiday village popular with holidaymakers and approached Simpson Millar’s Group Litigation Claims Manager, Paul Stevens for help.
Paul took on the Hawkins issue without fees up front and succeeded in getting £1,730 for the gentleman.
Mr Hawkins was delighted with the result and the service and commented: “I was no win no fee pleased with everything you have done for me”.

Commenting on the claims from the region he says: “In the majority of cases the underlying problem is that the hotel is not adhering to food hygiene or to health and safety practices and the tour operators will be liable to pay compensation when it goes wrong.
“UK law in the form of the Package Travel laws was set up to protect holidaygoers when they book through trusted tour operators such as First Choice or Cosmos Holidays.
“Should travellers suffer with an illness, such as Salmonella on holiday because of improperly cooked and prepared food then the tour operator might be held to account”.
